BECMA is launching it's inaugural Cannabis Business Empowerment Program , a focused initiative to help Boston’s cannabis equity applicants and licensed equity businesses launch, stabilize, and scale —in partnership with the City of Boston.

Building on our proven Back Office Support Services (BOSS) model, the program delivers non-dilutive grants, expert technical assistance (legal, accounting, marketing), and essential tools/technology , all tailored to where your business is today so you can move faster tomorrow.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Boston Only

Certified Cannabis Equity Applicants and licensed equity businesses recognized by the City of Boston.

WHAT YOU GET

• Tiered support aligned to your stage:
Financial support with grants up to $40,000
Foundational: entity formation, planning, early filings.
Capacity Building: accounting, legal, marketing, payroll/bookkeeping set-up.
Growth & Scaling: equipment, advanced legal/accounting support, operations consulting.
• Professional services via vetted providers, plus referrals into City TA.
• Essential tech & software to streamline operations.

HOW IT WORKS

• Apply online (brief eligibility + business assessment).
• Get evaluated and matched to a support tier with a custom plan.
• Receive services & grants, with milestone-based disbursements and hands-on monitoring.
