COMMUNITY THROUGH HOSPITALITY
With our children returning to the classrooms and to after-school facilities, it is important that we do everything we can to protect them and their caregivers from spreading or being infected by COVID-19 and other seasonal illnesses.
That's why MIDA Boston -- a Black-owned restaurant located in the South End of Boston -- is partnering with BECMA -- the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts -- to provide vital personal protective equipment (PPE) to organizations that nurture our children everyday, beginning with the Yawkey Club of Roxbury, part of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.
Every $2,500 raised allows us to purchase a 3-month supply of masks and other equipment for each targeted organization. Our goal is to impact at least 6 organizations located in communities of color, helping to protect hundreds of children, caregivers and families. All purchases will be made with BECMA verified Black-owned suppliers.
THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTERS!
We appreciate the support of all of our community in keeping students and staff at after-school locations safe and healthy as the state continues to move forward with the reopening plan. Your support is invaluable.
