A strategic goal for BECMA in 2018 is to compel state agencies to adopt policies that promote growth and economic prosperity in communities of color. One such way is equitably awarding state contracts to Black and Hispanic businesses.

Creating good, permanent jobs

There is no doubt that the Commonwealth is experiencing an economic boom. It is imperative that people of color be given the opportunity to participate in this prosperity. One way to ensure those who have lived and built up their communities can stay there is to provide jobs that pay well, provide benefits, and won't fade away at the close of a season.
