Equity in City Contracts

We were invited by Boston City Councilor-at-Large Michelle Wu and Councilor Kim Janey to testify at the May 2, 2019 hearing on equity in city contracting. A recent report by the city showed less than 1% of city spending went to businesses owned by people of color. We were able to share feedback from members on the procurement process and other recommendations for achieving equity. See the summary below.
